This version addresses a long lived issue that is when you press more and switch to a panel with less buttons than previous panels, the placement of entire panel will shift down. Many people find this an issue due to muscle memory. In addition to that, I also added a desktop widget for easy service toggling and notification bar compatibility in 4.3.
I am still slowly adding more features to upgrade Button Savior to V2. If you have any great idea, please feel free to let me know.
It has been a while since my last update dated on 9 July. I was working on a new App called Assistive Zoom which allows user to simulate pinch to zoom with only one finger in any browser screen. If you frequently dream to use one finger to zoom in/out, then I suggest you go take a look. [Link]
I spent only about a week to work on Assistive Zoom. However, it took me almost 2 weeks to add just 2 new features in Button Savior 1.8.2. They are (1) Top and Bottom swipe trigger and (2) Adjustable trigger area setting. The adjustable trigger area setting took the most time from me. Since the new feature is quite complex. So if anything breaks, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Leaving one star rating does not help me to troubleshoot the bug. Thanks.
Fixed auto dim toggle doesn’t work
Cancel dimming when pen or mouse is over zoom trigger button
Last week, when I was planning whats to throw in for Button Savior V2, an idea came across my head. Thats is, a button to do pinch in and pinch out. Later on, I think it is better to make a seperate App just for this function. Now, here it is. This App is simple and does one thing only. But myself and many other friends of mine all think this App is really effectively to address the need to use two hands for zoom in/out. Due to the fragmentation of Android eco system, so I am not sure it is 100% compatible on your device. Thats why I am doing a beta preview here.
Forgot to mention, this App requires root to run. So please make sure your phone is rooted before trying. App file is attached in this post too.
Requirement: At least 2.2+ and Root required
How to trigger pinch in/out
I introduced floating trigger icon in last update. But there are still many users who prefer to use the old style. So I now introduced a new setting, Trigger Icon Pos Lock. Addition to that, I also re designed the old default theme to all new HD quality graphics. Of course, this update covers handful bug fixes too.
I will now use 1 or 2 months of time to upgrade Button Savior to 2.0 from today. V1.7.0 is my first step. The most obvious change in V1.7 is the overhaul of trigger icon position mechanism. Now you can change trigger icon Position by free dragging the icon to new position you want. If you want more precision, the old Trigger icon position setting is also improved with more trigger icon orientation options with wider seeker bar for finer control of its position.
(1) Trigger icon is now free floatable. Just hold on trigger icon and move quickly to change to new position
(2) New HD quality default trigger icon
(3) Trigger icon position setting is improved with finer control options
(4) Many bug fixes
(5) Swipe trigger now supports swipe from both sides (Pro only)
Today, I silently released Smart Taskbar 2 on Playstore.

I am planning to formal release on Playstore with this version. So if there is no serious issue found in this version, I think I will publish it officially on Playstore by the weekend. In this version, I added some decoration in main UI with new graphics along with a lot of bug fixes.
I immediately found some bugs in update 4. And they are quite easy to occur and quite serious. So I have to make new update today. Other than bug fixes, I also fixed long click vibration logic to make it more reasonable. I also brought back the classic square trigger icon with HD quality this time. I feel quite impressed after seeing all graphics upgrading to HD quality. The screenshot doesn’t show the difference a lot. But you will see the difference once you install ST2 on your phone and see with your eyes.
